Face swap, voice changer and live translation on WhatsApp video calls

WhatsApp on a PC lets you choose which camera and microphone a call uses: in the WhatsApp app for Windows, or in WhatsApp Web, which has made calls in Chrome, Edge and Safari since July 2026. Choose the NZCAM camera and CABLE Output, and the person you call, on their phone or computer, sees your swapped face and hears your cloned or translated voice, live.

Set it up in WhatsApp

  1. Start NZCAM, load your source photo (and a voice sample, or choose translation languages, if you want those), and press Go live.
  2. In the WhatsApp app for Windows, open Settings (the gear at the bottom left), then video and voice, and choose NZCAM as the camera and CABLE Output as the microphone.
  3. Or use WhatsApp Web: in Chrome or Edge, choose NZCAM as the camera and CABLE Output as the microphone in the site settings for web.whatsapp.com.
  4. Open a chat and press the video call button. The person you call sees and hears NZCAM's output.

Face swap on a WhatsApp video call

NZCAM swaps your face from one photo and keeps your own blinks, smiles and head movement on it, so the person on the call sees a live face.

Voice changer on WhatsApp calls

With CABLE Output selected, WhatsApp voice and video calls both carry your cloned voice: NZCAM converts your speech into a voice you cloned from a short clip, live, and it moves your pitch into that voice's register, so male-to-female and female-to-male both work.

WhatsApp call translator

WhatsApp has no call translation; NZCAM adds it. You speak your language and the person you call hears theirs, live, in a natural voice or your own. 57 languages in, 63 out.

What you need

  • Any PC with a webcam: with the cloud engine, even a small, low-powered laptop with no graphics card works perfectly.
  • WhatsApp on the PC, linked to your phone's WhatsApp account.
  • NZCAM.
