Refund Policy

Last updated: September 20, 2026

This policy covers every purchase made on https://nzcam.net: credits, plans and top-ups for the NZCAM desktop software, all of which are digital goods delivered electronically to your NZCAM account. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and nothing in it affects rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

1. Try it before you buy it

Every NZCAM app (Lite and full, on each supported operating system) is free to download and try. The free tier runs the same on-device face swap and voice change as a paid one; the difference is a watermark on the output. That is deliberate: you can confirm the app runs on your machine, and does what you need, before paying anything. Please do — it is the reason section 3 exists.

2. What we refund

We refund the following in full, to the original payment method:

  • Unauthorised or fraudulent charges — a charge to your card or bank account that you did not make or approve.
  • Duplicate charges — you were charged more than once for the same order.
  • Non-delivery — a payment was confirmed but the credits or plan you paid for did not appear in your account, and we cannot get them to you within two (2) business days of you telling us.
  • An automatic charge outside what you approved — an Auto top-up or direct debit charge taken after you turned it off, above the maximum on the mandate you approved, or after that mandate expired.

We refund the full amount you were charged, including any processing fee shown at payment, in the currency it was charged in. If your bank applied its own exchange rate or fees, the amount that arrives may differ slightly from what left your account, which is outside our control.

3. What we do not refund

  • Credits you have already used. Credits burn only while you are live; whatever has been consumed has been delivered.
  • Change of mind after delivery. Once the credits or plan are in your account, the purchase is complete. Because every app can be tried free first, we do not refund a working, delivered purchase because you no longer want it. Unused credits have no cash value.
  • Timed packs and Unlimited periods that ran their course. A weekly or monthly credit pack expires at the end of its period, and an Unlimited period ends on its end date; time that has passed is not refunded.
  • Hardware below the published requirements. Please check the system requirements and the free trial first.
  • Accounts terminated for breach. Where we terminate an account for breach of our Acceptable Use Policy, prepaid fees are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
  • The bank network's direct-debit authorisation fee. Setting up a direct debit involves a small one-off fee charged by the bank network to confirm the account is yours. It is not paid to us, so it is not ours to refund.

4. How to ask for a refund

Report an unauthorised or fraudulent charge as soon as you notice it — there is no deadline on our side. For duplicate charges, non-delivery and automatic charges outside what you approved, email us at [email protected] within 14 days of the charge. Write from the email address on your NZCAM account, and include the transaction reference from your receipt or bank statement and a short explanation. Never send us your full card number, PIN or bank login — we do not need them and will not ask for them. You can also use the contact form.

5. How long it takes

We acknowledge every request within one (1) business day and decide it within five (5) business days. Anapproved refund is issued through our payment processor to the original payment method; it typically takes 5 to 10 business days to appear on your card or bank statement, depending on your bank, and international cards may take longer.

6. Cancellations

There is no subscription to cancel. NZCAM does not sell auto-renewing subscriptions. Credit packs and Unlimited periods are one-time purchases that simply run out or expire; you are never charged again automatically, with two exceptions that you set up yourself:

  • Auto top-up. If you turn it on, we charge your saved payment method for the amount you chose whenever your balance runs low while you are live. Turn it off on your billing page (or in the desktop app), or remove the saved card there. Either takes effect immediately and no further automatic charges are made.
  • Bank direct debit. We are not currently accepting new bank direct debit mandates. If you have an existing one, your bank approved it with a maximum amount per charge and an expiry date, both shown to you before you approved, and we never exceed them. Cancel it directly with your bank at any time, which stops our charges immediately.

Turning either off does not remove credits already added to your account; they remain yours to use until consumed or expired. If an automatic charge fails, no credits are added and nothing is charged — you are simply asked to top up manually, and you drop back to the free (watermarked) tier until you do.

7. Please talk to us before opening a chargeback

If something looks wrong with a charge, contact us first. We resolve most billing issues within a business day, and a refund from us reaches you faster than a dispute through your bank. A charge that is already the subject of a chargeback has to be resolved through that process instead.

Real-time face swap, voice cloning and live translation, in any app with one click.
