A virtual camera for Windows 10 and 11
A virtual camera is a software webcam every app can pick. NZCAM creates one, called NZCAM: press Go live and choose it in any app, with one click and no plugin. NZCAM Portrait carries the same picture upright for vertical video.
How it works
NZCAM reads your webcam, changes the picture, and hands every frame to the NZCAM camera. Your call app reads NZCAM instead of the webcam, so it gets the new picture.
Its name in your apps
On Windows 11, Windows adds "(Windows Virtual Camera)" to the name itself. It is the same NZCAM camera.

The microphone: CABLE Output
Your cloned or translated voice comes out of a virtual microphone your apps list as CABLE Output. NZCAM sets it up for you.
Tips
- Press Go live in NZCAM, then open your app and choose NZCAM.
- Pick NZCAM as the camera, not your real webcam: NZCAM is the one reading it.

Why does it say Windows Virtual Camera?
Windows 11 adds that to the name of every virtual camera made with its own camera system. It is the NZCAM camera.
Can I use it in streaming and recording software?
